2 Corinthians 12:7-10
I have received such wonderful revelations from God. So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud. Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.”So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, WHEN I AM DOWN AND OUT, WHEN I AM HIT BY THIS WAVES, WHEN I HAVE NOTHING, WHEN I AM BROKEN, WHEN IT’S IT, then I am strong.
How crazy is that point of view? That when I have nothing than I have it all. You see friends when God speaks, He only speaks a solution into all weaknesses that exist in your life. Consider how the earth was dark, with a void and without form in the beginning and if we were present at the time, that’s probably how we would have seen it, but thank God, He sees things differently.
When saw the problem, the weakness, the down and out, load shedded earth; He spoke light. When He spoke light, He didn’t speak a fake solution that would fuse out after some time, He didn’t speak some form of light that appears to be light and soon fades away after some time, no friends, He spoke the real thing, He spoke light, light that would dispel the darkness, so that what was in the darkness would be brought into the light so that the issues may be sorted out and we would behold the beauty of the earth. So when God speaks, He speaks a solution so that you may be blessed exceedingly, abundantly, above all that you would ask or think.
When God spoke light, He spoke it with everything that it needed to be what it was meant to be. So when you look at yourself, see yourself as an individual whom is already complete, lacking nothing in the midst of lack, because when you were spoken you were spoken as a solution and not a solutionised problem.
You see the problem with your weakness is that you see it from the perspective of your own human eyes and understanding. You don’t see things as they were originally created to be. You see them in their natural state and that causes you to want to run from your problem. You become down and out in the midst of your problem but in order for you to conquer your problem, you need to see it in the light of God’s eyes. You need to see it from the perspective of the problem Solver. Your problems need to be matched up with God because your problems are scared. So match them up with the Problem solver and see as the flee from you because of Him who is within you.
You see in order for you to see and I mean realy see, you might have to look past and beyond what you see. If we go back to what we just read in the book of 2 Corinthians, we realise that Paul didn’t have a pity party like many of us do in the midst of weakness. You see the pity party best represents you in your natural state but a victory dance in the rain best represents you knowing who God in you is during the weakness.
The sensation of weakness was an indication of strength for Paul. You see friend how you see your situation determines your braveheart towards your situation.
I pray that you realise that your problem is infact scared of you because of the God within you. I pray that the reflection that your problem sees from you is not the intimidated, tiny you, but the great, awesome, all conquering God in you, in the mighty and wonderful name of Jesus Christ, amen.
